For text icons, 1–2 characters work best—more becomes illegible at 16px. Use high-contrast colors (e.g., white on blue) for visibility in tabs. For image uploads, use a square PNG (512×512 or larger) with transparency for best results. The tool auto-centers and scales; non-square images are center-cropped.
