About ToolCrux

ToolCrux is a free collection of 55+ practical tools for developers, writers, designers, and teams. From JSON formatting and password generation to DNS lookups, PDF tools, and multi-step workflows — everything is built to be fast, private, and frictionless.

What We Built and Why

Most online tools are slow, ad-heavy, require signups, or quietly upload your data to a server. We built ToolCrux because we were tired of that trade-off. The goal is simple: paste your input, get your output, done. No account, no waiting, no data leaving your device.

Tools are organized into 9 categories — Text, Developer, Security, Image, Network, Data Conversion, File & PDF, Calculators, and SEO — with a workflow system that chains them together so you can run multi-step pipelines without switching tabs.

What Runs in Your Browser vs. Our Servers

The vast majority of tools are 100% client-side. Your text, code, images, and files never leave your device for tools like:

• JSON Formatter, Base64, JWT Decoder, Regex Tester, UUID Generator
• Password Generator, Hash Generator, URL Encode/Decode
• Image Compressor, Image Resizer, Color Picker, Favicon Generator
• PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Compress
• Word Counter, Case Converter, Diff, Lorem Ipsum, Markdown Preview
• CSV ↔ JSON, XML ↔ JSON, JSON ↔ YAML converters
• All calculators: Age, Percentage, Unit, Currency, Timezone, Aspect Ratio

A small number of network tools — DNS Lookup, WHOIS, What’s My IP, Website Status, HTTP Headers, Redirect Checker, SSL Certificate Checker — require a server-side request by nature. These go through a Cloudflare Worker and no input data is logged or stored.

How We Keep ToolCrux Free

ToolCrux is free to use with no caps, paywalls, or rate limits for normal use. The site is sustained through non-intrusive display advertising and affiliate partnerships. We do not sell user data — there is no user data to sell.
